Kerry Varble began playing the violin at age nine and was introduced to fiddling at the Orangeville Fiddle and Step-Dance Camp in Orangeville, Ontario when when she was thirteen.  She began to learn piano at age twelve and guitar at fourteen.  She decided to pursue music as a career and completed a BA in Music at the University of Toledo where she studied violin performance with Rico McNeela.  She was concertmaster of the University of Toledo Symphony Orchestra for three out of four years.  She has played with the Adrian Symphony, Firelands Symphony, Perrysburg Symphony and Toledo Symphony.

Since completing her classical education Kerry has pursued fiddling and competing full time.  She has studied with fiddling greats Daniel Carwile, Junior Marriott, Dale Morris Sr., Richard Greeen and Aubrey Haynie.  She has been a finalist in the Grand Masters Fiddle Contest in Nashville, Tennessee the last two years and placed ninth in the Gone to Texas portion of the Texas State Championship in Hallettsville, Texas in April 2011.  Kerry was the Ohio State Champion in 2008, Alabama State runner up in 2009 and continues to place in the top five at fiddling contests in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
 
Kerry is also proud to be a part of the non-profit association Be Instrumental which provides musical instruments and instruction to children who don't have a music program in their school. For more information about Be Instrumental and how you can help please visit them at www.beinstrumental.org

Todd Varble has been playing bluegrass music nearly all his life.  He is also an award winning Texas style rhythm player.  He teaches guitar and bass.  Todd is not currently accepting new students.  Contact us to be placed on his waiting list.
